The First Science workshops run every Monday at 4 and repeated on Tuesday at 5. Starting on the 7th of October 2019 in the Social Learning Room, in The Library. Students can access all the workshop notes from the relevant Moodle page.
Science students who can not attend are encouraged to attend the First Maths Studies Workshop which runs every Wednesday at 10am, or the Mathematics Proficiency Workshop which runs every Wednesday at 3pm, if the appropriate material is being covered.
This is an opportunity for 1st Science students to submit queries, topics and problems for discussion outside of their normal tutorials. Problems should be sent to the tutor James O'Malley for discussion. Students are encouraged to contact the tutor in advance of the workshop with material they would like to be covered. All suggestions from students will be treated anonymously. Each week First Science lecturers will announce the material that will be covered and the tutor will send a message using Moodle.
All material covered in the workshop is recorded and subsequently posted each week on the Moodle space for the First Science Workshop for students to access. You have to login on Moodle and choose the First Science Workshop page. These notes will be of limited use to students who have not attended the workshop. We encourage students to actively engage in this workshop process. Additional material related to the topics covered will also be posted on the Moodle space along with the class notes.
If you are having problems viewing the Moodle page contact MSC Manager.
