The main service that the MSC provides during term time, is a drop-in centre in the Social Learning Room, in The Library, on the South campus. The sessions provide a relaxed, friendly and non-judgemental atmosphere, to all Maynooth University undergraduate students, who need assistance with any aspects of Mathematics or Mathematics related subjects. Students will be helped on a first come, first served basis. You are welcome to attend any session, there are no appointments but if you have queries about the service provided feel free to contact the Manager.
Students are advised to bring their lecture notes, along with a calculator and any other relevant material, including homeworks and all attempted work. The Support Centre is a supplement to lectures and tutorials NOT a substitute for them.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend the centre as soon as they have a query/problem; the earlier you come the easier it is to sort out! Students who gain the most from the drop-in sessions are those who attend regularly. So attend as early in the week as you can and attend often. We welcome any student to the MSC regardless of their level of question or query. We are here to help.
